Biography

Munish Sharma is an actor, writer and producer. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan Munish graduated from the University of Regina and eventually moved to Vancouver. He began his career as the co-creator of the hit underground cult sketch group, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken. His first work as a playwright, Mrs. Singh and Me won Pick of the Fringe honours at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. His most recent commissioned play #34 celebrated the life of the late great CFL legend George Reed. It premiered at Regina’s Globe Theatre. His latest show Danceboy premieres in 2026. Munish also plays Bhima, in Why Not Theatre’s adaptation of the ancient epic Mahabharata, which premiered in 2023 at the Shaw Festival and at the Barbican Theatre in London, England. He is currently on tour with the Mahabharata which stops in Perth, Toronto, Ottawa, and New York.
